Friends of the Tasmanian Trail

Who are we?

The Friends of the Tasmanian Trail is a WILDCARE group providing volunteer assistance on projects on the Tasmanian Trail - Tasmania's premier multi-use trail. We work in close cooperation with the Committee of the the Tasmanian Trail Association in identifying projects and running working bees.

Where do we work?

Our members undertake volunteer work assisting the Tasmanian Trail Association and TrailKeeper groups (See Special Programs - TrailKeepers) along the Trail. Projects may be undertaken anywhere along the Trail from Deloraine to Dover (to find out more about the Tasmanian Trail go to www.tasmaniantrail.com.au ).

What do we do?

Projects include track making and maintenance, building camp furniture and facilities, building footbridges, replanting along the trail and at campsites, erecting interpretive signs and so on
