Rivers wild care

Where do we volunteer?

We are wildcare members passionate about caring for Tasmania's wild rivers in real and practical ways.

What do we do?

Our volunteering might seem to be extreme in terms of where we go and the tasks we tackle, and it is definitley an adventure - its part of why we do it. But we also recognise that these areas deserve and need our help like many other areas of Tasmania. We raft and we weed and we clean-up. We volunteer alongside and in cooperation with Parks and Wildlife Service Ranger staff. All on some of the most beautiful untamed wild rivers you will ever encounter. We are keeping the wild rivers wild and natural and having a great time into the bargain.

Who can participate?

You will need to be fit, enthusiastic, familiar with remote camping, be independent but good at working in a team if you are going to tackle the river projects. There are however a number of logistics, organisation and support activities that we would olove some help with, so if you aren't able to head off on the river you can still contribute to the care and conservation of wild rivers in Tasmania.
