Our organisation has 4 main branches
Community Action in Reserves (CARes)
The CARes branch volunteers support reserve management, working alongside Rangers and other Parks and Wildlife Service staff. We have a number of CARes groups around the State supporting particular reserves. We also have a partnership agreement with Forestry tasmania relating to walking track maintenance on their land, through the Adopt-a-Track program. A number of Special Programs are available in reserves in addition to working bees and other events (check the Bulletin Board for details).
Naturecare
Naturecare volunteers support nature conservation activities on reserved and private land, in close partnership with staff of the Nature Conservation Branch of the Department of Primary Industries Water and Environment. Members also register to provide support for threatened plant species conservation through the Botanical Guardians sub-branch.
Heritagecare
Heritagecare volunteers support cultural heritage management and conservation, assisting reserve managers and the Tasmanian Heritage Office.
WILDCARE Inc Office
The WILDCARE Office is the engine room of the organisation, with volunteers doing all the work that is required in the background to support member activities.
We will be developing other branches to support other elements of natural and cultural heritage conservation as the opportunities arise.
