Spectacle Island Revegetation

Southern Beaches Landcare Inc is requesting assistance from Wildcare members for a revegetation project on Spectacle Island at Dodges Ferry.
Volunteers will be planting Allocasuarina tubestock using Hamilton Planters (as per Permit to Disturb) and direct seeding with Poa sp.
Please contact Sally if you are interested in participating as she will need to be in touch about actual days which may need to move to suit weather and tide conditions.

Bring gloves, warm clothes, something to drink, a towel or a change of shoes [getting on to the islands can be tricky] and snacks if you wish.

If volunteers have a boat with appropriate licenses to assist with transport to the island please let Sally know.
Dates: most likely a Saturday morning in July or August, an early start to take advantage of the conditions say 8 am.
The islands are very fragile and volunteers will not be able to explore them.
Activity will be restricted to the rocky areas to minimise damage to burrows and avoid disturbing any penguins on the island.
