Welcome to WILDCARE Incorporated
GPO Box 1751 Hobart 7001 Tasmania. Office@wildcaretas.org.au
WILDCARE Inc is the largest and fastest growing incorporated environmental action group in Tasmania, with membership of around 3000. We undertake volunteer work (around 100,000 hours per year) supporting natural and cultural heritage conservation and reserve management throughout the State. We work in reserves, on private land and even in offices, in close partnership with a number of government agencies who have responsibility for managing our environment. We provide around $40,000 each year, from our own funds, through a Small Project Grants Scheme to support the volunteer activity that our members undertake. We welcome sponsorship to support conservation projects and programs, through our Corporate programs.
We are a Registered Environmental Organisation and have a tax-deductible donation Gift Fund, and a number of associated Natural Partner Funds supporting reserve management and nature conservation activities and projects. In 2009 we have so far allocated $133,000 to nature conservation and reserve management projects around Tasmania.
You can make a donation on line, by completing a GIVING pamphlet or by including a donation with your membership payment.
To join WILDCARE Inc and to register for the volunteer work you would like to do, complete the on line Membership form or download a PDF membership form from our forms page.

Congratulations Friends of Coningham Reserve and Friends of Maria Island
Two WILDCARE groups, Friends of Coningham Reserve and Friends of Maria Island, have been successful in gaining funds through the Tasmanian Landcaring Grants - round 1. Gorse removal and broom removal in strategic areas being just some of the activities that the groups will be funded for.
Round 2 of the Tasmanian Landcaring Grants will be open on 16th August and will close on 28th September 2010 so WILDCARE groups with ideas for projects, or those groups that applied that need to rework their applications should contact Jodie at the WILDCARE office for assitance.
